HelpMe was born out of the Mekong–Lancang Cooperation Initiative — a multilateral framework uniting Cambodia, China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam to foster technology-driven development and people-to-people connectivity across the Mekong region.
This initiative channels resources into cross-border innovation, sustainable tourism, and digital safety — directly enabling the HelpMe app to protect and empower millions of travelers across the Mekong subregion.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the Royal University of Phnom Penh for providing the academic foundation and institutional support that made HelpMe possible. RUPP's commitment to technology innovation and regional cooperation has been an unwavering pillar throughout our journey.
A special heartfelt thank you to Dr. Chor Chandara, Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Deputy Head of the Computer Science Department at RUPP, whose tireless mentorship, boundless encouragement, and profound wisdom guided every step of this project. His dedication to nurturing the next generation of Cambodian technologists is a gift that words can barely capture. — The HelpMe Team
Built by passionate Cambodian co-founders under the guidance of an exceptional mentor from RUPP.
Dr. Chandara's extraordinary dedication, academic excellence, and personal commitment to each student's growth have been the driving force behind HelpMe. His mentorship transformed a concept into a product that can protect and inspire millions of travelers across Cambodia and the Mekong region.
"This project would not exist without the generosity of the Mekong–Lancang Initiative, the doors opened by RUPP, and the belief that Dr. Chandara placed in us from day one."
"HelpMe gave me the confidence to explore Angkor Wat completely solo. The audio guide was like having a historian beside me — and the scam alert literally saved me from a fake ticket seller at the gate."
